There was a time when you were only a flutter inside me a rhythm I carried everywhere. Now you are here, wild and wonderful, turning two. I remember your first birthday. I remember believing we were complete. But time has a way of showing what was solid and what was only momentary. Some loves fade quietly, but what is real the kind that builds, heals, and stays lives on. And that, my darling, is what you and I are made of.
My beautiful child,
Someday you will read this. And I hope, when you do, you will understand that strength is not the loud kind the world often praises.
It is quieter found in the decision to stand again when no one is watching.
There is something else I want you to know. Something that life taught me the hard way.
The one who leaves was never truly meant to stay.
Those who wish to remain, fight to remain. And there are
those who walk away without even offering a reason.Their silence is their answer. Never my love, let someone’s departure make you doubt your worth.
Life will test you.
It will bend you in ways you will not expect.
You will cry.
You will break.
There will be nights when you will wonder if you will ever feel whole again.
And when that time comes, I want you to remember
you come from me.
And I rebuilt myself from ashes that were still warm.
So tomorrow, when I hold your tiny hands as you blow out your candles,I will whisper a quiet thank you.
Thank you for choosing me as your mother. For saving me without even knowing it.
For reminding me that even broken humans can raise something beautiful.
One day, when you are old enough to read this,I hope you will know that your mother was never weak.
She was simply human.
And loving you was and will always be the most sacred thing she ever did.
Happy Birthday, my girl.
You are my heart outside my body.
You are the calm after every storm.
And you are the reason I still believe in love.
Chris Perry once wrote in Reflections of a Man:
“A real woman’s love can heal, but only when it is valued.
Her strength is not in how long she endures, but in knowing when to let go.”
So here, in the stillness of this night, I offer few lessons for the woman you will one day become:
- Do not chase love; build peace. Love that is meant for you will never make you beg for it.
- Kindness is power. Some will mistake it for weakness love them anyway, but never let them take advantage of your softness.
- Never apologise for being too much. The right people will find comfort in your fire.
- Forgive, but do not forget. Some memories exist to remind you of the boundaries you earned.
- And when life breaks your heart let it. That is how the light finds its way in.
When you look back someday, I hope you will not see a woman who was abandoned,
but a mother who chose to rise because she had a daughter who needed to know what strength looks like.
but a mother who chose to rise because she had a daughter who needed to know what strength looks like.
If the world ever feels unfair, remember this:
God does not give His hardest battles to punish us.He gives them to remind us that we were built to overcome.
My little one, you are my heart wrapped in skin. The world will one day call you by your name,
but I will always see you as my miracle
the one who arrived when I needed saving most.
And when life feels confusing,
just look at the moon.
Know that somewhere under that same sky,
your mother is still praying for your peace.
You were never my burden, my baby girl.
You were my becoming.
